Troubleshooting

  • Make sure the bulb is working and set in or seated properly in the fixture.

  • Make sure the supply circuit and all circuit switches are in the energized position.

  • Check to make sure the fixture is plugged in or the hardwire connections were made properly.

  • In a lamp, try all the switch positions and check to see if it is fuse protected and needs replacement or resetting.

  • Review the assembly instructions.

Track and Recessed Lighting

  • I am installing Track and or Recessed lighting, can I run the circuit on a dimmer?

Dimmer usage is contingent on the type of fixtures and bulbs being used. Low voltage fixtures require a special low voltage dimmer. Fluorescent bulbs, including compact fluorescents, should not be used with dimmers unless otherwise specified on the bulb.

  • I am installing Track and or Recessed lighting, how do I determine how many track heads or down lights I can use?

Load calculations should be determined by a qualified electrician. They are contingent on the lamp wattage per track head or fixture and the Amp rating on the circuit.

  • I am installing Recessed lighting that is Non IC rated but I want to convert it to an IC application, what should I do?

Inquire at the retailer you purchased the kit or housings from for the appropriate IC conversion box.
